COLD HANDS THIS WEEKEND - THESE ARE FOR YOU!
- eliminates all the Wind Chill
Following the success of our Aquafleece top, which combines the warmth of a fleece inner layer with the wind protection of a Polyurethane outer, we wanted to utilise these same qualities for our new Winter gloves.
We have been working hard to further develop the material by increasing the stretch capabilities needed for a comfortable glove.
The result is the all new Rooster AquaPro glove with new longer lasting 'Super Grip' coated palm and velcro strap fastener around the wrist.
This 'top of the range' glove virtually eliminates the wind chill experienced with neoprene gloves whilst still giving the user the control and feel that you would expect from a top product.
QUICK TIP: If you have got them wet on Saturday and you are sailing on Sunday - pour warm water into them and put your hands in - they will be toasty all day!

'January training in Weymouth brr! But thanks Y&Y for the Mini Test on Rooster Aquafleece gloves (January 7 2006 issue), brought some at the London Boat Show and headed straight down to Weymouth to train with the rest of the GBR development squad. At last a pair of gloves that keep the fingers warm, grip well and aren't too bulky. Well done Rooster.'

My son was raving about these gloves (being someone who is not put off by arctic sailing conditions)and it occurred to me they would be just as good on the motorbike. They are. OK they don't have the armour plating normally associated with bike gear but the same concept applies for keeping your hands warm and being able to feel the controls. Roosterbike?!!

5 out of 5 stars Rooster Aqua Pro Winter Gloves, 9.6.2006

These are quite simply the best winter sailing gloves that I have come across. My previous experience of winter sailing gloves has been of thick gloves that impede the movement of the fingers and remove the ability to feel the ropes properly. The Rooster Aqua Pro gloves are made from a similar material to the Rooster Aqua Fleece, the material is thin and stretchy with a thin layer of fleece on the inside. This enables the gloves to be the same thickness as summer sailing gloves, giving the full range of movement and feel. The gloves eliminate wind-chill keeping your hands nice and toasty even in a gale. The fleecy inner is comfortable and very quickly warms up even when putting the gloves on wet. I took a pair of these gloves with me on the Round Britain and Ireland race this year and was very impressed. Off the Shetland Isles I was very glad of them, I was still able to feel and grip the sail on the foredeck for sail changes when some of the crew were resorting to taking their winter sailing gloves off. Even coming on watch in at 4 in the morning and putting them on wet was fine because they warmed up within a minute from the heat of my hands. I would thoroughly recommend these gloves to everyone, and I will certainly be wearing them this winter.
